In this time of conflict around the world, we need our allies behind us and the death penalty could be an issue of contention between the countries that would otherwise support us in the face of war. More and more European countries have determined the death penalty to be inhumane and inappropriate as a means of obtaining justice. We have to wonder if we’re next as we strive for unity and support amongst allies.
