The-Gel-Manicure-(aka-Shellac-Nails)-Pros-&-Cons-Photo2

The Cons
You need to go to a salon to get a true shellac or gel manicure and they can be a bit pricey, though that’s offset by the fact that they last so long. That durability comes at a cost when you want to remove the color. It takes time, work and requires that you soak your nails in acetone polish remover for about 10 minutes. Your nails also need to be roughed up before most of these processes so that the polish will adhere, this ultimately leads to thinner, more brittle nails.
