Women feel a lot of pressure after they give birth—but those feelings aren’t just about weight. “Losing the baby weight was the hardest, most disappointing and frustrating thing for me,” says Maggie, a mom in her late 30s. “The pressure was magnified by the pressure to be a great mom, care for my baby, still try and be a romantic partner and work a demanding full-time job.” When she’d get time at the gym, she’d feel guilty that she wasn’t spending her free time with her baby. “Plus, on the priority list of cleaning, errands, groceries, etc…working out just seemed like a luxury.”
