Congratulations You’re the New Miss Universe…Psyche!
We finished the year with a moment even more cringe-worthy than when Miss South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton’s, garbled answer to a question at the 2007 Miss Teen USA pageant went viral. This year’s Miss Universe Pageant host, Steve Harvey misread his card and announced that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, was the winner. Just as she was about to take her victory walk complete with crown, sash and flowers, Harvey had to stop everything (On live TV!) and announce that the actual winner was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Nothing could be more awkward than watching them remove the stunned Miss Colombia‘s crown and sash to put them on the equally stunned Miss Philippines.
