Ugh, I hate this word so much. “Flex” sounds like a gym move, not a football schedule change. But it’s real. If Michigan is playing a big rival—like Ohio State or Michigan State—the network can flex the game to a different time.
This happens late in the week. Like, Friday afternoon late. Do you enjoy spontaneous panic? No? Then check your phone constantly.
Here’s a pro tip: if you see a game listed as “TBD” more than two weeks out, just accept it. You’ll know when you know. It’s like waiting for pizza delivery—annoying, but worth it in the end.
What If The Game Is At Night?
Night games are a whole different beast. You plan your entire day around it. Brunch becomes a strategic pre-game meal. You shower at 2 PM because, why not? The whole house smells like wings and desperation.
If it’s a night game, start your pregaming early. Like, absurdly early. Eat your chili at noon. Wear your lucky jersey at 8 AM. No judgment here.
Also, if it’s an away game at night, prepare for your sleep schedule to die. You’ll be texting your buddy at 1 AM: “Did you see that catch?!” Don’t apologize. That’s the price of fandom.
