After looking at the differences between when I was in the classroom and what the modern classroom looks like, I see that today’s way of teaching really takes into consideration the individual child. Today, we teachers are able to identify and focus on a child’s strengths and deficiencies, and determine where we can tailor our teaching to that child. Many parents may find the curriculum a bit too rigorous and may think their child is being overworked. In reality, children are being challenged and given that extra confidence to go farther. We all know our children have limitless potential, so why not start utilizing it as early as we can?
