Interestingly, last month when I signed up Enzo for Toddler Time, I made a point of signing my name Diana Limongi-Gabriele…I guess to make sure they knew I was his mommy! So there are definitely circumstances when I don’t mind being Diana Gabriele. I don’t mind if my son’s teacher calls me Mrs. Gabriele, but I think I do mind having to legally change my name. I want my child to be proud of both sides of his family, and I believe that by keeping my name, I am teaching him about both sides. When I talk about our family, I usually say “The Limongi-Gabrieles.”
