9. Toes, Too!
Remember that your toenails count, too. Most of what applies to your fingernails applies to your toenails as well. In fact, experts agree that because of careless pedicures, toenails may be even more prone to problems than fingernails.
Wear rubber gloves when cleaning. This will protect your hands and cuticles from harsh chemicals used in household chores and also from the repeated washing, all of which strip skin of its moisture.
11. Be Careful
If you do trim hangnails, do so with caution. Seemingly insignificant nicks in a heavy traffic zone like the fingertips can lead to all sorts of problems and infections in the nail bed.
