Let’s be real: soap producers love to tease. We’ve seen a few hints dropped by actor Richard Blackwood (who played Vincent) in interviews. He’s said he’d “never say never” to a return, which is basically the soap world’s version of a wink and a nod.
Then there’s the fact that Vincent’s daughter, Pearl, is growing up fast. A father-daughter reunion could be a massive emotional story—the kind that makes you reach for the tissues before the credits even roll.
Richard Blackwood plays down idea of EastEnders return as Vincent
But here’s the kicker: Richard Blackwood is busy with other projects, like comedy and presenting. A full-time return might be a scheduling nightmare, but a special guest stint? Totally on the table.
What A Comeback Could Look Like
Picture this: The Queen Vic is quiet. Phil is nursing a pint. Suddenly, the door swings open, and in walks Vincent, slicker than ever, with a smirk that says, “Miss me?” It would be a moment so iconic, it’d break the internet for a solid ten minutes.
He’d likely have to reckon with his past—especially the fact that he faked his own death (remember that messed-up plot? Yeah, we try to forget it too). But soap operas love a good “they’re back from the dead” twist. It’s basically their favourite party trick.
And let’s not forget the current power vacuum in Walford. With the Mitchells and the new gangsters carving up the Square, Vincent could slide right back in like a snake in a business suit. Chaos would follow, and honestly, we’re here for it.
