Thisclassic starred America’s (then) highest paid female star, Carmen Miranda, she of fruit filled headdress and Latin band music. Miranda was already a star but the movie launched the careers of Betty Grable and Don Ameche as an American girl and the horse breeder she falls for while on vacation in Argentina.
