May 26 is Memorial Day. Although it’s a solemn day when we remember those who have given their lives in the service of their Country, Memorial Day weekend is also the unofficial beginning of summer.

American philosopher Robert Rorty said, “Always strive to excel, but only on weekends.” Indeed, many of us build our lives around weekends—our time to get away from the daily grind and relax with family and friends. This year, instead of vegging out on the sofa, take advantage of the long weekend to think big. Reboot your life. Make a list of goals and start working on them.
