Absolutely. Susan digs in the dirt. She planted potatoes and carrots this year. “I love watching things grow,” she told a fan magazine. It’s her therapy, she says, between recording sessions.
She even talks to her plants. Seriously. She sings to them. “They seem to like ‘I Dreamed a Dream,’” she joked. Who knew a global anthem was plant food?
What About the Music?
Oh, she hasn’t stopped. She released a new album called Tens in 2026. It’s a celebration album. Tens stands for ten years since her debut—and ten songs she loves.
She recorded it with a full orchestra. But she recorded most of it from home. Why? She wanted to be near her cat. Yes, she has a cat named Pebbles. Pebbles sometimes sings along. Off-key.
She also did a surprise duet with a rapper. No, really. She teamed up with Scottish hip-hop artist Loki the Scottish Rapper. The song? A mashup of “Amazing Grace” and a beat. It’s weird. It’s wonderful.
