8. Stabilize Your Cutting Board
Last but not least, if you want your cuts to be clean and controlled, your surface needs to be solid and stable. Make sure you are cutting on a smooth cutting board that is resting on a flat surface. For the best results, put a damp paper towel underneath your cutting board to prevent the board from slipping around on your counter.
