3. Bring on the Bread
Once you determine the type of sandwich you want to make you can choose the right bread. Thicker, heartier bread will better support messy ingredients, but if it is sliced too thick your carbs will overpower the real stars of your sandwich—the fillings. If you need a supportive foundation but you don’t want it to be too heavy, try scooping out the inside of the bread so you have a crisp shell without all the extra dough.
