As Harpers Bazaar tells it, according to Tim Rogers, creative director of Living Proof and a stylist at Sally Hershberger salon in New York, “frizz occurs when the thousands of little shingles that make up the cuticle layer are lifted and in disarray. This happens when your hair is damaged and dry but also when it’s especially humid outside, when moisture is absorbed and swells your strands.” It happens to the best of us, but the good news is that frizz can be controlled, and it all starts with the right cut, the right products and some really strategically styled braids.
