6. Hold Them Responsible
It’s important to hold children, especially older kids, responsible for their actions and inactions. Invest in an alarm clock and refuse to serve as the wake-up call. It’s a good opportunity to teach that choices have consequences. Hitting the snooze button repeatedly means there’s no time for breakfast, and so on.
