Careful! The cob will be volcanic. Use a towel or oven mitt to grab the hot husk or paper towel.
Peel back the husk like you’re unwrapping a present. The smell hits you instantly. Sweet, buttery, summery. Heaven.
If you used a paper towel, just pull it off. The kernels will be glowing with steam.

You absolutely must butter it. While it’s still hot. The butter melts into a shimmering gold puddle.
