6. West Nile Virus
Spread by mosquitoes, most people who get West Nile actually show no symptoms. Others develop a fever but less than 1% of those infected develop neurological symptoms and die. Mosquitoes are deterred by bug repellent and protective clothing and, if you’re staying in one area, feel free to light a citronella candle as well.
