OLIVE, THE OTHER REINDEER (1999)
This animated Christmas special is based on the children’s book by Vivian Walsh. Olive is a dog with a bit of an identity crisis, which begins when she hears “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on the radio and misinterprets the lyrics to say “Olive, the other reindeer.” Believing she is destined to be on Santa’s flight team, she heads for the North Pole. On Olive’s journey, she must face down the evil Postman, who plots to ruin Christmas so he does not have to deliver so much mail.
