4. Madonna
While she will always be a material girl to us, who can forget that famous Instagram post when Madonna said “long hair, don’t care” beneath a photo of her with significant armpit hair. Granted, she was supporting Art for Freedom (hence the hashtags #artforfreedom and #revolutionoflove), which is “a global initiative helmed by Madonna and VICE that aims to encourage creative expression that brings awareness to human rights violations, and “start a revolution of love.” It was still pretty shocking for some to see Madonna with her new look, but then again, it’s Madonna—she’s been shocking people since the 80s.
