17 Best Cate Blanchett Movies Ranked
She doesn’t fight a single battle with a sword, but she wins the spiritual war. She resists the Ring, she consoles the weary, and she makes everyone feel like they can do the impossible. Cate Blanchett conveys that with just a slight raise of an eyebrow or a soft, knowing smile.
Fun Comparison Time
Think of Galadriel as the boss of a very calm, very powerful startup. She’s the CEO who knows the market is crashing but just sips her tea and says, “We’ll pivot.” Or she’s like the one friend who can look at your messy life and say, “You’ll be fine,” and you actually believe them.
She’s a mixture of a wise old grandmother, a goddess, and that teacher who gave you a second chance. Cate Blanchett makes it look effortless. And that’s what’s so cool—she makes a character who is nearly a spirit feel completely relatable.
