2. Be cold. I know this one sounds mean, but being resolute (see #1) means hardening your heart. Think about when a guy breaks up with his girlfriend. He goes out and shoots pool or spends the weekend camping with his buddies, and he does not pick up the phone when she calls, begging to talk just one more time about why things didn’t work out. We women have a harder time being so cold. Sure, that makes us more compassionate, but that’s also why you and Mr. Loser have broken up 18,000 times. It’s tough love time. Don’t answer the phone.
