2. Bird watching makes you stop and take in the world around you. Yoga teaches you to focus your attention on what you are doing. To be good at bird watching, you also have to learn to focus your attention on what is going on around you all of the time. Sounds like leaves rustling, or seeing movements in trees or bushes, might be the only clues you have that a bird you have not seen before is there. You learn to shut out all of the noise and confusion of our daily lives, if only for a time.
