One of the best sandwiches ever, the ham and Swiss cheese combo is commonly served in France on a baguette as lunch on the go. It’s easy to make and can be done hot or cold.
4. Tuna on Rye
What’s great about a tuna fish salad sandwich is you can fancy it up using some relish, dill pickle or tomato. It’s great as is, with healthy omega-3s and whole grain bread or make it warm and melty by placing it in the broiler with a slice of cheese on top.
The bacon, lettuce and tomato combination is a diner classic sandwich but we love it at home too. It makes a light lunch with a smear of mayo or can be paired with a hearty soup or stew to make dinner.
