Tinsel Town certainly does not reflect the face of America today. The New York Daily News noted earlier this year that whites currently make up 63 percent of the U.S. population. That figure is expected to peak in 2024 and then begin a steady decline, dropping to 50 percent by 2043. The percentage of the population that is Hispanic is expected to increase from 17 to 24 percent.
