Add cereal to the midnight bottle. If your baby is waking up in the middle of the night, try adding a tablespoon of cereal to his warm bottle. This is the one method that has worked best when my kids were over 12 months old. If you want to train your baby to sleep through the night and not wake up at all, set a timer for yourself and get up before the baby wakes up, give him a bottle in his sleep and put him back in bed. After a week or two, my oldest son stopped waking up all together.
