If you’re working with pigments for art or crafts, treat them like real materials: use proper ventilation, avoid eating or breathing dust, and clean brushes and surfaces promptly. Many artists already do this as routine, but it matters more when you’re mixing unknown products or using powders.
For food colouring, the limit is simple: only use products designed for consumption. Never substitute craft dyes that aren’t food-safe. Also remember that bright colours can sometimes taste stronger even if you add only a little—so adjust for flavour as well as appearance.
When working with light, safety becomes less about colour and more about equipment. Projectors and stage lights can be hot and bright. Use proper eye safety if you’re working close to high-intensity fixtures, and avoid staring directly into intense bulbs.
