8. The Business of Murder Game
If your friends are brainy mystery buffs, this is the perfect dinner party game on All Hallows’ Eve. Your guests will become characters in a story and it’s up to them to find out which character is the murderer. Imagine Clue with a twist of the theatrics. You’ll need seven players, plus a host (who may or may not be one of the parts). The game is played out purely by social interaction. Each person attending will be playing the part of a character in a murder mystery. They will act in character, and will know only what their character knows. Together, they will discover that a murder has been committed, and collect the facts of the murder. Then, between them, they have enough information to discover the identity of the murderer. They will discuss, accuse, and in general have fun investigating. It will probably take from 2 to 4 suspenseful and chilling hours. Make sure to create a spooky ambience in your home for extra effect. Costume props work well. And you can download this freeware party game here.
