You pull up and think, “Did I accidentally book a stay at a posh manor?” The grounds are immaculate. The hall itself looks like it could star in a period drama—if that drama involved a lot of happy campers and the faint smell of barbecue.
It’s not your typical muddy field with a tap in the corner. No. This is a country club with a capital C. The gardens are manicured enough to make your own lawn jealous. Seriously, your grass at home is probably blushing right now.
The Caravan (or Lodge, No Judgement)
You have options. Static caravans? Yep, they’re here, and they’re absurdly cozy. Some are newer than my own actual house. We’re talking central heating, double glazing, and a sofa that begs you to nap through the afternoon rain.
Or you can go for a lodge. Oh, the lodges. They feel like tiny wooden palaces. You half expect a butler to pop out and offer you a sherry. Spoiler: No butler, but the hot tubs on some of them make up for it. Hot tub, anyone?
And yes, you can bring your own touring caravan or tent. The touring pitches are spacious. You won’t be elbowing your neighbor while trying to peg in your awning. It’s civilized outdoor living, I swear.
