Even if you’re not renting a desk, Ropewalk House 113 is part of Nottingham’s DNA. It’s a symbol of how the city has evolved from heavy industry (rope-making) into a digital and creative hub. It’s a beautiful, functional piece of history.
Next time you’re wandering through the Lace Market, take a detour down The Ropewalk. Peek through the ground-floor windows. You might see a pop-up art show or a bunch of people typing furiously on MacBooks. And you’ll smile, knowing it’s a little engine of weird, wonderful work.
So, go on. Grab a coffee, walk past number 113, and feel a tiny bit jealous of the people who get to be inside. Or—even better—maybe you’ll be the next person to find your own accidental home there. I’m already planning my return visit. See you in the lift. (Hopefully not bumping shoulders.)
