In the past, corporal punishment was a common practice in many schools. It was seen as a way to keep kids in line and enforce rules. But, times are changing, and we're starting to question whether this approach is still effective or even fair.
One of the arguments in favor of corporal punishment is that it can be an immediate deterrent. If a kid knows they'll face physical consequences for misbehaving, they might think twice before acting out. But, is this really the best way to teach kids self-control and responsibility?
