So, you might be wondering, have there always been only one Canadian team in the MLB? Well, the answer is no, there used to be another team, the Montreal Expos, which sadly relocated to Washington D.C. in 2005. It's kind of like when your favorite coffee shop closes down, you know, it's a bummer, but you move on and find new spots to hang out.
Now, let's think about this, what if there were more Canadian teams in the MLB? Would it be like having multiple NBA teams in Los Angeles, or would it be more like the NFL having a ton of teams in the US? I mean, having more teams could be pretty cool, just imagine the rivalries and the excitement it would bring to the sport in Canada.
But, on the other hand, being the only team has its perks, like having a huge following and being the center of attention, kind of like being the only child in a family. The Blue Jays have a pretty sweet deal, with a huge stadium and a awesome fanbase, so maybe being the only team isn't so bad after all. Maybe it's like being the only pizza place in town, you get all the customers, but you also have to live up to the hype.
