Breaking Bad was a massive success during its run, winning numerous awards and receiving widespread critical acclaim. The show's unique storyline and complex characters made it a must-watch for many viewers. The show's success can be measured by its high ratings and the fact that it has been named one of the greatest TV shows of all time by many publications.
The show's creator, Vince Gilligan, has said that he always envisioned the show as a five-season series. He wanted to tell a complete story with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and he didn't want to stretch the show out for too long. This approach paid off, as the show's compact narrative helped to keep viewers engaged and invested in the characters.
One of the most interesting things about Breaking Bad is its complex characters. The show's protagonist, Walter White, is a high school chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin. His transformation from a meek and unassuming man to a ruthless and cunning criminal is both fascinating and terrifying. The show's supporting characters, including Jesse Pinkman and Skyler White, are also well-developed and complex.
