First up, the hosts are a trio: USA, Canada, and Mexico. It’s the first time three countries share the party. Imagine the traffic jams at the border.
Mexico is the real OG here. They’ve hosted twice before (1970 and 1986). This will be their third time. No other country has done that. They’re basically the World Cup’s favorite uncle.
Canada is the new kid on the block. They only qualified for the men’s tournament once before (1986). Their fans are hype and ready to party. Expect maple syrup chants.
The USA hosted back in 1994. That tournament was huge for growing the sport here. Now they get a do-over with even more teams. It’s going to be a circus, in the best way.
