For nearly every commercial flight in the world, laptops are welcome passengers. You can stow them in your carry-on bag or pull them out for a mid-flight movie marathon. The only hard rule? They have to come out of the bag at security.
That’s right—you’ll be sliding your laptop into a separate bin while the whole security line watches. But think of it as a brief, awkward handshake before you and your device reunite 30 seconds later.
Checked Baggage? Think Twice
Here’s the real deal: never check your laptop. Airlines have become very clear about this. Lithium batteries are a no-go in the cargo hold, and honestly, do you trust your laptop to survive being tossed by baggage handlers?
Your laptop belongs in the cabin—close enough to hold when turbulence hits. It’s like a loyal travel buddy that needs to see the clouds with you.
