Getting to the O2 is half the journey, and the Jubilee Line drops you right at the door. If you’re driving, book parking in advance through the O2’s app—it saves about £10 and a lot of frantic circling.
Arrive thirty minutes early to soak in the atmosphere. The O2’s main concourse, Up at The O2, has a fantastic view of the Thames, and kids love the giant Disney photo frames set up near the entrance. Grab a Disney-themed glow wand from one of the vendors—it’s overpriced, but the look on your child’s face when the lights dim is worth every penny.

Pro tip: Seat selection matters. The lower tier (sections 101–112) offers excellent legroom and a close view of the skaters’ expressions, which is half the charm. Avoid the very back of the upper tier, as the overhang can make you feel a bit detached from the magic.
When to Go and What to Eat
Weekday matinees are a hidden gem. They’re less crowded, tickets are cheaper, and you avoid the post-school rush of hyperactive fans. If you go on a Friday evening, prepare for the energy to be higher—and the queues for popcorn longer.
Speaking of food: the O2’s dining is decent but pricey. Skip the arena hot dogs and head to Five Guys or Franco Manca in the main restaurant village before the show. You can even grab a pretzel with Nutella from the kiosks near the ice rink entrance—a surprisingly good sugar boost for the second act.
