Think about it: 141 minutes is exactly the length of a soccer match. Or a really long commute. Or the time it takes to watch two episodes of The Office. But you won’t be laughing at awkward jokes (well, maybe a few from Tony Stark).
You could also bake a batch of cookies. Or run a 10K if you’re a maniac. But why would you do that when you can watch a giant robot fight a metal man in a Hulkbuster suit? Priorities, people.

The “Director’s Cut” Myth
There’s no official director’s cut of Age of Ultron. But fan rumors say Whedon shot over four hours of footage. That’s enough for an entire extra movie about Vision learning to love toast. We’ll never see it. And that’s okay. The 141-minute version is a tight little miracle.
