First off, UAL (that's United Airlines to you and me) has a pretty straightforward policy when it comes to checking ski bags. Essentially, you can check your ski gear as part of your free baggage allowance, which is pretty cool, right? It's like getting a free pass to bring your favorite skis along for the ride.
But, here's the thing: there are some size and weight restrictions to keep in mind. Think of it like trying to squeeze into a cozy ski lift - you need to make sure your gear fits, or it's going to be a tight squeeze. Luckily, UAL's policy is pretty generous, allowing skis up to 80 inches long and 50 pounds in weight.
