First things first: don't lose your cool. I know, easier said than done when you’re blocking the street with your own car. Walk around the car and see if there’s a note. Sometimes it's a forgetful neighbour or a delivery driver who made a genuine mistake. Sometimes it’s just a total lack of awareness, but give them the benefit of the doubt for ninety seconds.
If there’s no note, knock on the doors of your immediate neighbours. (I did this; it was my neighbour’s aunt who had “just popped in.” She moved it. Eventually). You’d be surprised how often a friendly knock solves the whole thing in two minutes flat. Nine times out of ten, they’ll apologise and shuffle off.
