You wouldn’t believe the lineup of celebs hitting the pavement. We’ve got actors, pop stars, and even a few reality TV legends who usually only run from paparazzi. They’re trading red carpets for sweaty t-shirts. It’s a beautiful disaster waiting to happen.
Let me introduce you to some of the brave (or slightly crazy) participants. First up is Sir Reginald Fluffington, the Oscar-winning actor known for brooding dramas. He’s running for a cat rescue charity. Apparently, he’s been training by chasing his own cat around the living room. I wish I were joking.
Then we have Pop Princess Luna Spark. She’s famous for songs about dancing until dawn. Now she’s running 26.2 miles for mental health awareness. Expect her to cross the finish line in glitter, while sobbing. It’s going to be iconic.
Why Are They Doing This to Themselves?
Money, yes, but mostly for bragging rights. Each star has chosen a charity close to their heart. Dave “The Destroyer” Johnson, a former WWE champ, is running for children’s hospitals. He says he wants to “body-slam childhood illness.” That’s the energy we need!
And let’s not forget the local weatherman, Barry Nimbus, who predicted rain for race day. He’s running for climate action. Karma’s a funny thing, Barry. We’ll be watching the forecast with popcorn.
Some participants are even doing it in costume. One comedian is dressing as a giant sausage roll. He’s raising money for food banks. If he doesn’t collapse from heatstroke, I’ll be amazed and deeply impressed.
