So, the big question: how do you kill the hours between now and that 8 AM reveal in August 2026? First, don’t set your alarm for 7:59 AM. You’ll panic, spill your tea, and your fingers will tremble so much you can’t type your password. Set it for 7:30 AM, splash some water on your face, and take three deep breaths. You’re not a robot—you’re a human with feelings, and that’s okay.
Second, have a plan for after you see your results. Whether it’s a hug from your gran or a text to your best mate, know who you’ll talk to. My cousin, Jake, once called his dog before his parents—honestly, that golden retriever understood. Connection is everything, even if it’s just a wagging tail.
A Little Story to Make You Smile
Last year, a friend of mine named Lily was so nervous that she wore her jumper inside out on results day. She didn’t realise until 11 AM. But you know what? She still got into her sixth form. The point is, the time is fixed, but your reaction is yours. You can laugh, cry, or dance in your kitchen—and that’s what makes the day memorable.
Another lad, Tom, checked his results on the loo. Not the most glamorous moment, but hey, it’s private. He passed everything, and now he tells that story at parties. Your story will be just as weird and wonderful. So don’t worry about being perfect—just be you.
