Hold your horses—Coopers Chase, the fictional retirement village where the murders happen, doesn’t exist as a real place. Sorry to burst your bubble. But the film’s producers got crafty. They shot many of those scenes at Frensham Pond Hotel and the surrounding grounds in Surrey. The hotel is a stunning Georgian building with sprawling gardens, and let me tell you, it’s suspiciously peaceful. You half expect someone to find a body near the croquet lawn.
If you’re into a little film tourism, you can book a room there. They even have a spa! Perfect for plotting a murder—I mean, unwinding after a long day of pretending to be a sleuth. Irony: fully intended.
