First, don’t overthink it. Google is your friend. Search for “After the Flood filming locations map” and you’ll find fan-made guides, blog posts, and even interactive maps. Many fans have already done the hard work.
Next, pick a location that calls to you. Maybe it’s the Milltown Bridge where a tense chase happened. Or the Old Folly Café where a secret conversation changed everything. Plan a day trip—pack a picnic, bring a friend, and treat it like a cinematic scavenger hunt.
Pro tip: rewatch the episode first. Pause it at key scenes, note the background details, then compare them to your photos. It’s immensely satisfying when you match a brick wall or a rusty gate. You’ll feel like Sherlock Holmes, but with better snacks.

The Unexpected Upside
Here’s the thing nobody tells you: exploring filming locations is a workout for your soul. It gets you outside, into fresh air, away from screens. That walk you took to find the “flood house”? That’s exercise disguised as a hobby. Plus, it’s a fantastic conversation starter.
You’ll meet other fans who are just as nerdy and enthusiastic as you. Suddenly, you’ve got new friends who also want to debate the show’s ending while standing in a muddy field. Community builds itself around shared curiosity—and a good map is the spark.
So go ahead. Download that map, circle a few spots, and hit the road. Or even just explore the places virtually from your living room. The point isn’t perfection; it’s playfulness.
Life is short, and so is the season—but the locations are forever. That flooded town isn’t just a memory in a show; it’s a real place waiting for you to bring your own story. And who knows? Maybe your next adventure starts exactly where the flood ended.
Ready to chase the waterline? Go find your spot. The map is waiting—and so is a little bit of magic you never knew you needed.
