Before White City, the show was based at The London Studios on the South Bank. That place was a concrete jungle of TV history, where shows like The Krypton Factor were filmed. But in 2018, ITV packed up its bags and moved to the shiny, new(ish) BBC site.

Fun fact: before that, they even filmed from Albert Dock in Liverpool for a while! Can you imagine? It was like the show went on a mini road trip, setting up shop by the water. Very Blue Planet meets Good Morning Britain.
What About the Outdoor Segments?
You’ve probably seen Phillip Schofield or Holly Willoughby standing in a sunny garden, talking about petunias. That’s not real! Well, it is real, but it’s filmed on the studio’s roof terrace. It’s a clever illusion—just a few potted plants and a blue sky backdrop.
Sometimes they even use a green screen to make it look like they’re in a tropical paradise. So when they say, “And now we’re in Barbados,” you’re totally allowed to laugh. It’s basically a high-budget Zoom background.
