The reason airlines have these rules is to ensure passenger safety. It's not just about being a rule-follower, it's about making sure that everyone on the plane is protected. By limiting the size of liquids in carry-on bags, airlines can reduce the risk of any hazardous materials being brought on board.
Think of it like packing a picnic lunch for a road trip - you want to make sure you have everything you need, but you also don't want to overpack and make a mess. It's the same with carry-on liquids. You want to bring the essentials, but you don't want to exceed the size limit and cause any issues during the flight.
So, what happens if you accidentally pack a liquid that's too big? Don't worry, it's not the end of the world! You can either check the item and have it stored in the cargo hold, or you can dispose of it and purchase a new, smaller version once you arrive at your destination.
