But here’s the pro move: use the Camera app (on macOS Sonoma or later) or even the Preview app. In Preview, go to File > Take Photo. A window pops up with your face, and you click the camera icon. Boom. You just took a photo without opening a single funky filter. Why does this feel like a secret handshake?
Need more control? Try QuickTime Player. Open it, go to File > New Movie Recording, then click the record button’s dropdown to choose “Camera.” Take a still by hitting Command+T. It’s like your laptop is suddenly a production studio, and you’re the director.
