Okay, take a deep breath. I’m not saying you should go buy a shotgun. But consider this: the Menendez trial became a massive pop-culture circus because it forced people to ask uncomfortable questions. Like, what do you do when your parents are wealthy but emotionally absent?

Here’s the fun part: you can use that same curiosity on yourself. Instead of hiding your own “crime scene” of bad decisions or awkward moments, lean into them. Ever had a cringe-worthy first date? That’s your personal Menendez moment. Laugh about it.
Embrace the Uncomfortable Questions
The crime scene photos showed a devastating, violent truth. But they also sparked a national conversation about abuse, privilege, and trauma. That’s a powerful gift—a chance to talk about hard stuff without being preachy.
So, next time you’re stuck in traffic or dealing with a weird roommate, ask yourself: “What’s my hidden story here?” You might discover a funny reason why you love pineapple on pizza or why you secretly enjoy bad reality TV. It’s all connected.
