Imagine an ostrich with a bad day and a built-in knife on its foot. That’s a cassowary. It’s a six-foot tall bird that’s basically a velociraptor with feathers.
It has a claw on each foot that’s five inches long and sharp as a dagger. It can kick you open with one strike. Seriously, it’s killed dogs and injured humans pretty badly.
And it’s not afraid of you. It’ll stand its ground and stare at you with those creepy red eyes. Best to just back away slowly and apologize for existing.
