Now, you might be wondering, why Labor Day is even a thing. Well, let me give you the cliffnotes version: it's a holiday that's meant to celebrate the American worker, and all their hard work and dedication. It's like a big pat on the back, saying "Hey, good job, guys!"
And, as it turns out, Labor Day has been around since 1894, when President Grover Cleveland signed it into law. Who knew, right? I mean, I'm no history buff, but even I found that pretty cool. The first Labor Day parade was even held in New York City, and it was a huge hit!
Anyway, enough about history, let's get back to the important stuff: mail. So, if the USPS is closed on Labor Day, what's a person to do? Well, you can always try online shipping, or go to a private shipping company, like UPS or FedEx. Just don't expect to find any USPS employees lounging around the office, sipping coffee and sorting mail.
