When you get cut off in traffic, do you yell? Flip someone off? That’s normal. But King believed that love was stronger than rage. How Martin Luther King Changed the World - Hello BMW
This is hard. Really hard. But think of it like this: have you ever tried to argue with a stubborn friend? The more you shout, the less they listen. King understood that hate just makes more hate. By refusing to hate back, he confused his enemies. They expected violence; they got hymns and prayer. That moral clarity made it impossible for the rest of the world to ignore the injustice. It’s like when you win an argument by staying calm—you win because you didn’t fight dirty.
